1. Selwo Marina, Benalmadena

Solwo Marina has to be the first on our list. This fabulous attraction is a zoo and aquarium in one. You’ll probably need about half a day at least and while you can turn up on the day, many vendors on the Costa del Sol coast will offer discounted tickets when combined with other attractions (be sure to purchase from a reputable supplier). 2. Selwo Aventura, Benalmadena

This isn’t an article about Selwo, we promise! However, Selwo Marina’s sister zoo, Selwor Aventura should definitely be on your list of places to visit. As previously mentioned, access to Selwo Marina and Aventure can often be purchased together at a discount. Selwo Aventure is a rustic, open-air zoo with safari tours. It’s an attraction popular with the entire family. See the exotic birds of Bird Canyon or the monkeys of Nature’s Portico.

3. Tivoli World, Benalmadena

Tivoli World is popular on the Costa del Sol for it’s rides and family theatre shows. The large Tivoli theatre seats up to 2,200 people and a variety of family-friendly shows are scheduled throughout the summer months. After watching a performance, you can visit the Plaza West, an authentic-looking western town, grab a bite to eat at the Texas Grill or ride one of the western-themed attractions.

4. Bioparc Fuengirola

Bioparc Fuengirola is often considered one of the most immersive zoos in Europe. The park champions a contemporary model with a focus on the preservation of natural species. The park contains three themed areas; Africa, Asia and Madagascar. In the summer months, visitors can access the park in the evening allow you to experience seeing the animals as they prepare for an evenings night sleep.

5. Aqualand Torremolinos

Aqualand Torremolinos is the largest water park in the Costa del Sol. Located a short distance from downtown Torremolinos the entire family can spend the day riding the slides, playing in the pools and relaxing in the sun. Rides include the Black Hole, the Mini Park, River Rapids, The Boomerang and Twister. There’s even a surf beach with waves over a meter high! For the parents, there’s a calm tropical lagoon and jacuzzi’s to relax in.
